The World Bank recently released publication "Harnessing Quality for Global Competitiveness in East and Central Asia" includes accreditation.
This book, whilst set in the Eastern Europe and Central Asia regions, is a valuable resource for any developing economy. It addresses issues surrounding the establishment of the building blocks for a national quality infrastructure that can deliver transparent and technically credible services to the economy. Topics covered include standards, metrology, inspection, testing, certification and accreditation and the need for these to be harmonised with trading partners.
